This is a non-profit website developed to provide a better knowledge of the rural areas within our home county of Sussex, reasoning that any knowledge gathered would augment the enjoyment of going out and having lunch in a village pub. Originally a hobby, it has now evolved into a virtual full time project.

Our aim is to keep it FREE to use, by defraying some of the expenses pertaining to the site, by courting some relevant and commercial sponsors. No pubs will be able to advertise on the site to avoid any conflict of interest.

With your help we will continue to expand the site into a Sussex Compendium, to be of use and benefit to all visitors whatever their interests, be they; a family day out, visiting a village pub, having fun, learning a little local history, solving quizzes, following treasure trails or simply enjoying a walk and picnic.
